How Humanists Can Save Humanity

“Us versus Them” thinking is scary. It divides our families, communities and nations. It may even threaten humanity’s survival. What can we, as Humanists, do about it? Plenty! We can contribute to humanity’s evolution from ancient-brain fear toward higher-brain compassion. Like resistance fighter Rose Tico said in the film Star Wars: The Last Jedi, “We’re going to win this war, not by fighting what we hate, but saving what we love.” So let’s get to it!

Thea Deley

Writer/performer Thea Deley tours her solo show, “Jesus Loves You! (But Hates Me)” about her journey from believer to humanist. A few years ago she was invited to perform it at both the American Atheists national convention and a Baptist church–proving there’s hope for our divided nation. Thea holds an M.S. from the University of Denver, and is on the Secular Student Alliance and American Humanist Association speakers bureaus. She lives in Las Vegas with her new husband and old dog.
