The American Humanist Association is now accepting speaker proposals for our Annual Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada May 17-20, 2018.
This is a great opportunity to immerse yourself in the secular community, meet like-minded people, and gain visibility.
Please review the following guidelines before you apply. Proposals will be accepted through Tuesday, December 5, 2017.
All proposals will be reviewed by the event coordinator, Meghan Hamilton, for overall quality, relevance to humanism & social justice, well-defined focus, practical applications of material, timeliness of the topic, and the speaker’s qualifications. Presentations are expected to provide valuable and quality educational presentations and engage the audience.
Please keep in mind that spots do fill up quickly, so submit your proposal as soon as possible
Your topic should be relevant to humanism, science, social justice, religion, or similar topics. Presentations should be either one hour or thirty minutes in length, allotting for a brief session for question and answer. Length of presentations are subject to change. Each presentation will be provided a moderator to present the speaker/s and to moderate the Q&A portion.
