When famed humanist psychologist Albert Ellis’ Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy was combined with U.S. Army resiliency and thriving strategies, the result was Jarrett’s unique Warrior Resiliency and Thriving program for military personnel and their families. His Stoic-inspired approach has also been popular with ordinary humanists for handling stress, avoiding emotional pain, and making the good life possible.
Thomas Jarrett is a licensed clinical social worker and a former Army Combat Stress Officer and Green Beret who completed a doctoral fellowship in Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy at the Albert Ellis Institute in New York. He pioneered combat cognitive resiliency, training over 12,500 military personnel and their commands, and lectures widely on virtue ethics, rationality, and thriving.
